Special Centre for Sanskrit Studies, JNU in collaboration with Millennium India Education Foundation organized a 3-day Sharada workshop during November 8-10, 2013 at the Special Centre for Sanskrit Studies, JNU. The goal of this workshop was to provide elementary knowledge of Sharada script and to train people in reading and writing basic Sharada script. A total of 84 students from various universities had participated in this workshop. Dr Kirti Kant Sharma, IGNCA was the main resource person for Sharada script during this workshop.

The 2nd Sharada workshop to create resource persons in Sharada script was held at Special Centre for Sanskrit Studies, JNU, New Delhi during February 18 - 19, 2014. This workshop had two separate sessions - Prof T N Ganjoo conducted a refresher course for those students who had taken part in the first workshop held in 2013, and Prof S S Toshkhani trained a fresh batch of students in elementary Sharada. A total of 83 students from various universities participated in this workshop.

The 3rd Sharda workshop will be held at Special Centre for Sanskrit Studies from 12-13th September 2014. This workshop will be organized at two levels-

1. Dr Kirti Kant Sharma, IGNCA will conduct a level-3 course for those students who had participated in the first and second workshop held in 2013 & 2014, and
2. Prof S S Toshkhani will train a fresh batch of students in elementary Sharada.
