She has been awarded the Gold Medal for holding 1st Position in M.A. (Linguistics).She has published her work in Lexicography A Semantic Study, is recognized by Dictionary Research Centre (then at Exeter University, Exeter), United Kingdom.She has 13 years of teaching and research experience.Her published works: Lexicography: A Semantic Study (English), A Thesaurus of Punjabi Words and Phrases on the Concept of Light (Punjabi).She has guided 7 M. Phil and 4 PhD students .She has 2 projects under her supervision: ‘Bhartrihari’s contribution to Language and Linguistics’, ‘Panini’s Ashtadhyayi’.She has edited ‘Punjabi-English’, ‘English-Punjabi’ and ‘Sanskrit-Punjabi’ dictionaries, those are published by Punjabi University, Patiala.She has worked as one of the translators of Mahan Kosh (Sikh Encyclopaedia). Compiled Punjabi lessons for Second Language Teaching for Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore (Karnataka) India. She is the incharge of ‘Child Care Centre’ of Punjabi University, Patiala. She is working as consultant for the Punjabi Language Specification Program and Mobile Keypad. She has worked as one of the experts of Linguistic Terminology for Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India. She wrote several lessons, on Linguistics for the Department of Correspondence Courses, Punjabi University, Patiala.
